Forex Rebates explained: How Forex Cashback works & how to compare broker rebates

Forex rebates, also known as forex cashback, allow traders to receive part of their trading costs back every time they place an eligible trade.

Instead of paying the full spread or commission without receiving anything in return, traders who register their brokerage account through a forex cashback provider can receive a portion of the broker's referral commission as cashback.

The rebate can usually be calculated per lot, as a percentage of the spread or commission, or based on trading volume.

For active traders, these seemingly small amounts can add up to meaningful savings over time.

Global forex news: Central Banks & Geopolitical risks Driving currency markets – September 2026

Global forex news: Central Banks & Geopolitical risks Driving currency markets – September 2026

Global forex markets are facing another period of heightened volatility as central-bank policy, rising energy prices and geopolitical tensions pull currencies in different directions.

As of September 10, 2026, the European Central Bank has raised interest rates again to combat renewed inflation pressure, while traders are debating whether the U.S. Federal Reserve could follow with a rate increase at its September meeting.

Meanwhile, expectations of another Bank of Japan rate hike have strengthened the yen, the British pound remains sensitive to the Bank of England's inflation outlook, and the escalating Middle East conflict has pushed oil prices above $100 per barrel.

For forex traders, this creates an environment where traditional relationships between currencies, interest rates and safe-haven assets can change rapidly.
